Changing your Pajero's Batteries

Hi,

Changing the batteries is one of the most simple task to do with your car. You can very well do it yourself, or follow the options:

  • Go to a garage near you.
  • Go to ENOC/EPPCO gass station.
  • Go to Al Habtoor Mitsubishi Service Center.

I got my Pajero's battery repalced 2 years ago with ACDelco, N50LMF with a rating of 50 Amp Hours.
It lasted for 2 years, way beyond the warranty of 1 year. Then finally i got it replaced, while it was still working.

I went to the ENOC/EPPCO gass station. There you get Sollite (Korean) batteries.

These batteries were new for me.

So i inquired with Al Habtoor Service center in Garhoud (+971-4-2308700). They said they have  Nova  battery and would cost ~ 400 AED, and would take ~ 45 min to 1 hour to fix.

But i wanted an ACDelco as the old one lasted me more than 2 years.

So i went to a Garage in UmRamool(Before festival City) name- Naser Suliman Garage (050-1211538/-3199227). You can go to any Garage in UmRamool or near you.

He gave me the AcDelco battery N50LMF for 270 AED with fixing.(BTW the old one also i bought from Umm Ramool, so was sure it would be genuine)

There was also one more option of ACDelco- NX110-5LMF, it an 75 AMP Hour battery, more powerfull for 370 AED. But since my old battery was N50LMF (50 AH), i decided to go for a the same.

BTW he also recommed me to use the 50 AH one, as he said it doesn't make any difference in Pajero. And the  75AH battery are used by guys with Nissan Petrol or Landcruiser etc.

He fixed my car in around 5 minutes and i was on my way home. :-)

You would get a waranty like below( BTW, Liberty (stamp in warranty) is the distributor of ACDelco in Sharjah -http://www.acdelcoarabia.com/Distributors/UAE_Sharjah_en_gb.html )

Based on my experience i highly recommend ACDelco batteries.

Kind Regards,
DJ
